Dear Bellamy Families,

We hope you are enjoying the start to summer vacation!

READ All Summer  
 
At the end of the school year we were lucky to have Clifford the Big Red Dog come and visit our classrooms. Please use the books from "Duffy Books in Home" that were sent with each child to read over the summer. Record all your minutes. Please bring the calendars to the "End of Summer Celebration" on Wednesday August 27, 2014.

Tuesday, June 3rd- Talent Show- 9:30 am for K-2 parents, 1:30 for individual and small group acts (parents of students that stayed after school on Tues. and Thurs. to practice)
 
Wednesday, June 4th- 12:30 dismissal for Kindergarten students only
 
Friday, June 6th- 12:30 dismissal for ALL students
 
Monday, June 9th- 12:30 dismissal for Kindergarten students only

Dear Bellamy Families,

Remember that attendance at school daily is VERY important for your child to succeed.  When your child is tardy, he/she is missing important instruction.

We will be having another drawing for a student at each grade level for the second half of the year.  There will also be a grand prize for the end of the year.  Keep working on keeping perfect attendance!!

Sarah Anderson, the music teacher, and some of our students created a video as a submission for a contest through the NYS Lottery.  To view the video, click on the video tab on the top of this page.  They did an outstanding job and had a lot of fun.  

  A few other reminders:

  • The One Book, One School Event has started.  The Family Fun Night will be held Wednesday March 19 at 6:30.  CalendarClick here for the reading calendar 
  • The 1st Annual Bellamy Eggs-Travaganza Craft Fair and Bazaar will be held Saturday, March 22 from 10:00 am-4:00 pm.  The cost will be free to public. 
  • Please continue to read with your child every night and record the minutes on the reading calendar.  (One School, One Book reading minutes count) Return the calendar at the end of each month.
  • The next PTO meeting is scheduled for April 7th at 6:30 pm in the Staff Room.  Please join us!

Dear Bellamy Families,

Welcome back from February break!  

Before break, we drew prizes for one student in each grade level for having perfect attendance during the months of September-January.  Each student’s name was put in the drawing for each month they had perfect attendance. Each family received a bowling package for King Pin Lanes.

·          There will be a Literacy Extravaganza March 1st from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Rome Free Academy.   There will be activities, a Skype session with author Tim Green at 10:30 am, raffles and a book for each student that attends.   The whole family is invited!

*Happy New Year!

*We are looking forward to an exciting and busy rest of the 2013-2014 school year. 

*Please be sure you are reading with your child each night and filling out the reading calendar.  Please note the date it should be returned each month.

*Our next PTO meeting will be Monday, January 6th at 6:30 pm in the Staff Room.  Please join us! 

*Please be sure your child is prepared to play outside during lunch recess.  They MUST have a coat, snow pants, boots and gloves to play in the snow otherwise they will be asked to stand on the black top during recess.

*Please send an extra change of clothes (socks, underwear, pants and shirt) in case your child gets wet.

*Please remember to send your child with a written excuse if they are out of school for an appointment or if they are sick.  Remember that attendance at school daily is VERY important for your child to succeed.  When your child is tardy, he/she is missing important instruction!
