School Mentoring Program Seeks Volunteers

Give the gift of time to a child, become a mentor

NYS Mentoring Program

The Rome City School District, in partnership with the Rome Area Chamber of Commerce and the NYS Mentoring Program, is seeking adult volunteers to serve as mentors for fourth-grade school children during the 2017-18 school year. Anyone 18 years or older willing to devote one hour a week is eligible, including working persons, college students, and retired senior citizens.

 

The following five elementary schools will serve as mentoring sites starting in October: Bellamy, Denti, Gansevoort, Joy, & Staley Elementary Schools.
