Student Dress Code:

Ø   Clothes must be worn as they are designed

Ø   No bare midriffs or sides

Ø   No tight revealing clothing

Ø   No apparel displaying inappropriate/obscene items

Ø   No gang paraphernalia

Ø   No hats, caps, etc…

Ø   No chains

Ø   No jewelry with sharp objects

Ø   No hemlines shorter than  mid-thigh

Ø   No shirt straps narrower than "3 finger rule"

Student Responsibilities:  

Ø   Know and obey school/bus rules  

Ø   Respect rights of others  

Ø   Attend school regularly and punctually  

Ø   Complete school work  

Ø   Practice habits of cleanliness  

Ø   Respect property  

Ø   Respect relationships, using dignity for all

Prohibited Student Conduct:  

Ø   Any violation of law

Ø   Selling /possession/use of alcohol or drugs

Ø   Stealing, lying, cheating

Ø   Intimidation-Bullying, threats

Ø   Fighting

Ø   Disrespect of staff members

Ø   Use/possession of weapons or harmful devices

Ø   Sexual harassment

Ø   Lewd, abusive signs-including those that promote sale of controlled substances

Ø   Selling, possessing obscene material

Ø   Tardiness or missing class

Ø   Smoking or possessing tobacco products, matches or lighters

Ø   Unacceptable classroom behavior

Ø   Inappropriate display of affection

Ø   Gambling

Ø   Vandalism 

Ø   Inappropriate use of computers

Maintenance of Public Order:  * RULES APPLY TO ALL  

Ø   No threats

Ø   No damaging property

Ø   Must sign in upon entering buildings

Ø   No entering classrooms without permission

Ø   Must leave when asked

Ø   Vehicles may not obstruct traffic

Ø   No weapons or drug possession

Ø   No distribution of written material

Ø   No apparel or signs with profane language or constituting a health or safety hazard

Ø   No urging or inciting prohibited acts

Ø   No violating the Law
