Staley is participating in a STEM partnership with the United States Air Force's Research Laboratory Rome Labs and Griffiss Institute of Technology.  STEM is an acronym for Sceince Technology Engineering and Math.

Dimension U Games allow student to challenge in their class, school, schools in the area or around the world in math and literacy.  They earn tokens for points scored in the games which allow them to add to their avatar or earn items to enhance their game play abilities. 

Students can dowload these games at home also.  However we suggest to them to have a parent dowload the game for them while setting it up on their home computer.  It is free to register and play.  http://www.dimensionu.com/DimU/default.aspx ?

Students can log into the program by using their username and password assigned to them by the school district.  The username for most of the students is as follows the first intial of the students firstname and full last name, with no spaces, and for this program you add  rome at the end: example mine would be redmundsrome. Their password is set for the last 5 numbers of their student ID, example if my student ID was 580123456 my password would be 23456. Note: If the username didn't work you may need to try adding 2nd or even 3rd initial of first name.  ( This would mean that someone else may have same first intial last name).
