Do you have question or concern for the Superintendent of Schools you would like answered? On Monday, November 27, the Rome City School District will be hosting its first community-wide Dialogue with the Superintendent event at Rome Free Academy (95 Dart Circle) from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The event will take place in the RFA Library and is open to All Rome (Pre-K-12) families.

Staley Dedicates Their Library To A Great Leader and Great Friend

On June 16th the Staley library was dedicated in loving memory of Fred Zamperetti who passed away in 2015. Family, friends, Board of Education members and administrators gathered with the Staley family to hear memories of Fred, see a slideshow and listen to the Staley orchestra perform, “Amazing Grace”. Afterwards they plaque was placed next to Fred's photo as you enter the library.

Fourth graders at Gansevoort Elementary recently had a cool assignment from their teachers, Suzanne Varano, Cheryl Corr and Michael Scerra. They had to write a persuasive essay—a unit in their writing curriculum— in an effort to persuade the owners of Dippin Donuts in Rome, John and Helen Zourdos to make their donut flavor!
