Ridge Mills Kindness Walk

On Thursday, October 19th, Ridge Mills Elementary School held a Kindness Walk and assembly. This event is a testament to the school's commitment to instilling empathy and unity among its students. Throughout October, all classes read the book 'Where Oliver Fits' by Cale Atkinson.

During October, the Ridge Mills counseling team has been visiting classrooms and conducting activities and lessons centered on kindness. Art Teacher Mrs. Kernan has facilitated a puzzle piece activity in which each student and staff member decorated a puzzle piece.

"These puzzle pieces are unique to each student. As they are completed, we are creating a large puzzle that will serve as the centerpiece of our school. The puzzle symbolizes how each piece is unique, and every piece is important to make the puzzle complete. Each student and staff member represents a puzzle piece, and every person at Ridge is an important part of our school. Without them, we would be incomplete. When we all come together, we become a part of something big, something special, and we form a school family," said Ridge Mills Principal Mr. Flagg.
