This dynamic duo does an outstanding job with the 4th grade 12:1:1 class. They provide much-needed structure and consistency for our students while including fun and creative activities. Whether it is welcoming new students or staff members, they create a warm, friendly environment that encourages everyone to succeed. Our team is very fortunate to have them!

Tara Mays and Leigh Lombardo, Supported Learning Teachers at Gansevoort Elementary.
How long have you worked in the RCSD?
We have worked together for 9 years! Leigh is a 16-year employee, and Tara is a 19-year employee.
What do you like most about your job?
We love how our students make every day exciting and fun. We love building relationships with each of our students.
What inspires you?
We are inspired by seeing how our students connect with lessons and show personal and academic growth daily.
What is a fun fact about you?
We have been together so long that when one person is frustrated or having difficulty supporting a student, the other jumps in and takes over! We are a great team because Leigh tends to misplace things, and Tara patiently searches for and finds them!
