It is with immense sadness that we share the passing of Leah Closinski, a cherished member of the Rome City School District and Ridge Mills Elementary school community.
As a Ridge Mills teacher and provider of Math Academic Intervention Services for more than two decades, Leah poured her heart and soul into her craft every day to ensure the success of her students. Her dedication went well beyond the classroom as well, volunteering her time as a member of the Ridge Mills PTG, during summer school programs, and leading countless after-school activities.
Her commitment to education left a profound impact on her colleagues and students both past and present, and she will be deeply missed by all of us at the Rome City School District.
