2026 BCME Recognition

Rome City School District has received the Best Communities for Music Education (BCME) designation for the 12th year in a row! This prestigious award from the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) recognizes our unwavering commitment to music education.

"Being recognized once again by the NAMM Foundation as one of the Best Communities for Music Education for the 12th consecutive year is truly an honor for the Rome City School District,” said Superintendent of Schools, Ms. Nerlande Anselme. "This recognition reflects the incredible commitment of our music teachers, students, families, administrators, Board of Education, and community partners who continue to champion music as an essential part of a well-rounded educational experience."

"Music continues to be a source of pride and tradition throughout our district — from the joy of learning in our elementary classrooms to the outstanding performances and opportunities our students experience at the secondary level. I am deeply grateful to our dedicated music educators for the passion, talent, and care they pour into our students each day, and I could not be more proud of our students for the excellence and heart they bring to their craft."
