Moving on once again: Congratulations to Rome Free Academy junior Rachel O’Rourke on advancing to the NYS Federation Golf Championship after her second-place finish at the 2026 NYSPHSAA Girls Golf Championships!

O’Rourke, who recently captured the NYSPHSAA Section III Girls Golf individual title, shot a two-day total of 144 at the championships. She was the only golfer in round one to shoot under par after firing a 71, before following that up with a 73 (+1) on day two to finish even.

O’Rourke now moves on to compete at the NYS Federation Golf Championship, which will be held on Sunday, June 14, at Bethpage State Park, Farmingdale, NY.
