The Rome City School District would like to provide clarification that P-TECH (Pathways in Technology Early College High School) remains available to Rome students through our partnership with Oneida-Herkimer-Madison (OHM) BOCES.

Through P-TECH, students have the opportunity to earn a high school diploma, an associate degree, and valuable workplace experience through career-focused learning, internships, and partnerships with local industry.

Rome CSD previously piloted an in-district P-TECH model; however, student interest was not sufficient to continue a separate local cohort. Students continue to have access to this valuable pathway through the OHM BOCES P-TECH program.

Families of this year’s incoming eighth-grade students should look for additional information in spring 2027 regarding the next application process. An OHM BOCES representative will also meet with eighth-grade students to share information about the program and provide guidance on how students can apply.

Rome CSD remains committed to providing students with diverse pathways that support their interests, strengths, and future goals.

Rome CSD recently recognized the latest RFA seniors who successfully completed the program, with the feature story available to be viewed on the district website.
