It is with deep sadness that we share the unexpected passing of Daniele “Danny” Muratore, the beloved head custodian at Strough Middle School.
Affectionately known as “Mr. Dan,” he was a cherished member of the Strough team, the maintenance team, and other school communities he served in during his more than 25 years of dedicated service to the Rome City School District. His sense of humor, his assertiveness, and his outgoing nature impacted so many students, staff, and families. His warm, outgoing personality, his friendly face, and the strong connections that he made with others will be greatly missed.
Our condolences to Danny’s family, friends, loved ones, and all who grieve during this difficult time.
Danny’s family will hold calling hours open to family and friends on Thursday, September 3, from 4-7 p.m. at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home in Rome. Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 4, at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Lee.
