Rome CSD staff returned with energy and excitement as they prepared for the new school year during the Superintendent’s Conference Days held September 1-2. It kicked off with a “totally rad” ‘80s/90s themed Staff Opening Day celebration at Rome Free Academy, where the RFA Choir opened the event with the singing of the National Anthem and Alma Mater, followed by the RFA Marching Band playing their drumline cadence and Michael Jackson’s "Thriller."

That set the tone for the rest of the morning, which also included team-building competitions, celebrating staff with #RomeRisers spotlight recognition, and an inspiring performance from guest speaker, Mrs. Teoka Muhammad.

A special thank you to RFA students Jordan Roser, Tori Johnson, and Nolan Kramer, who energized the packed RFA auditorium while serving as the event emcees.

Staff also participated in a full agenda of trainings, workshops, and professional learning throughout the Superintendent’s Conference Days as they prepared for the exciting school year ahead!
