How long have you worked in RCSD?
This is my 28th year. Time flies!
What do you like most about your job?
I honestly feel like the luckiest teacher at RFA. This classroom community made up of remarkable para-professionals and amazing students welcomed me with open arms a few years ago. I’m so grateful for all of them. The sense of community I get from my “school family” is, hands down, the BEST part of this job. We share laughs and joys every single day!
What inspires me?
Of course, my students inspire me, but their families also inspire me. Unless you have a child that struggles, it’s difficult to appreciate the daily challenges and the lifelong commitment these families have to their children. Every day the families face obstacles hand in hand with their children and every day that blows me away … truly inspirational!
What is a fun fact about you?
I have ten brothers and sisters. I’m #8 in a long line of Gratch’s!
