The Rome NAACP Meet the School Board Candidates Night
Per Sentinel:
ROME — The Rome NAACP will be hosting its fifth annual Meet the School Board Candidates Night at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 16 at Strough Middle School, 801 Laurel St., according to an announcement by NAACP branch officials.
Incumbent Kirstin Safin and Jennifer Campos, Anna Megerell and Nadia Rashid are running for three seats on the board in the May 21 election.
All four candidates running for a seat have been invited, the announcement said, adding that this is not a debate. This is an opportunity for the public to meet and hear from candidates who want to sit on the school board.
