RFA Marching Black Knights Showcase "Get in the Game" at Community Show

The RFA Marching Black Knights held a Community Show at RFA Stadium on Sunday, October 22. This year’s field show theme was titled 'Get in the Game' and featured multiple iconic video game soundtracks from the 1980s to the present day. Band Director Stephen Russell said, 'You are about to watch the culmination of nearly five months of training, rehearsing, and refining to create a seven-minute show.' He went on to say, 'What goes into this show that is not always noticed is the amount of detail that goes into every note, step, toss, etc.'

Before the evening performance, they celebrated Senior Dakota Morrison, who has dedicated many years to the marching arts program at Rome. 'Whether it was being Class President, serving as one of our drum majors this year, or playing the mellophone, you have set a wonderful example for our younger members to look up to,' said Russell.

Morrison plans to attend either NYU or Fredonia. He was joined by his parents, family members, and friends.

Don’t forget to support the RFA Marching Black Knights at the NYSFBC Championships on October 29, 2023, at the JMA Wireless Dome, Syracuse University. RFA will perform at 1:50 p.m."
