Congratulations to Rome Free Academy PE & health teacher Reanna Zappavigna on receiving the 2025 Joy of Effort Award, as recognized by the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (NYS AHPERD) Central North Zone!
The Joy of Effort award recognizes “those individuals who through word, action and deed, reveal that the effort made to enhance and achieve the goals and objectives of quality health, physical education, recreation or dance programs is a labor of love inspired by commitment and dedication.”
Zappavigna was recognized for the honor at the 2025 NYS AHPERD Central North Zone Professional Awards ceremony, recently held at Vernon Downs Casino Hotel.
