Congratulations to Rome Free Academy senior Noah Riolo, who was selected to participate in the prestigious Le Moyne Leadership Academy this summer after receiving a Le Moyne College Heights Award!
The Le Moyne Leadership Academy is an invitation-only, one-day program for high school students entering their senior year who have demonstrated leadership potential. Selected students have also received a Le Moyne College Heights Award, which recognizes high school juniors who are “Reaching for the Heights” in the classroom and in leadership and service to their school and community. Award recipients receive a Certificate of Recognition and a scholarship totaling $17,000 per year to attend Le Moyne College.
Riolo was one of 45 students nationally who were chosen for this year’s Leadership Academy, where they were able to explore their leadership identity to help prepare for college, gain a deeper understanding of how they can impact positive change in their schools and community, and build a network of relationships with their peers.
“I’ve learned how to be more compassionate towards people, how to help other people work towards a goal,” Riolo shared about the program experience when being interviewed by Syracuse’s NewsChannel 9 for this feature story.
