The Rome City School District is proud to recognize and celebrate NYS Athletic Training Recognition Week!
Sponsored by the New York State Athletic Trainers' Association (NYSATA) and celebrated Sept. 18-27, the annual event highlights the essential role athletic trainers play in sports safety, injury prevention, and emergency care. Athletic trainers are licensed healthcare professionals who play a vital role in the safety and wellness of student-athletes. Athletic trainers are trained in emergency care, injury evaluation, rehabilitation, and return-to-play decision making, and are often the first professionals on the scene during athletics emergencies.
We invite our entire school community to join us in recognizing our athletics trainer, Sierra Raux, for her exceptional knowledge, unwavering dedication, and the genuine care and concern she consistently provides to our student-athletes and athletic teams.
