Staff Spotlights

Sally Roseboom, Substititute

How long have you worked in the RCSD?
8 years in the fall.

What do you like most about your job?a
I enjoy working with people at school and I like the variety of Jobs when subbing at the district office and at the different schools in the district. I have always liked working with the public and helping them in any way I can.

What inspires you?
My mother was an amazing lady who raised and took care of 5 children, was a farmer’s wife, had a garden, cooked and baked and canned fruits & vegetables among many things. Later on, she had to go to work in a restaurant, did volunteer work at the local hospital and at the thrift shop in town and was church financial secretary. She worked hard her whole life, was healthy and passed at 104. She is definitely an inspiration to me.

What is a fun fact about you?
I started bowling again after more than 40 years and is a lot of fun. I do not bowl as good as I did many years ago but it doesn’t matter so much as we have a good time. I also enjoy organizing fundraisers at church; yard sales, rummage sales and bake sales. It is so nice to see and talk to all the people.
