Mrs. Plumb, the IT specialist as Bellamy Elementary, took Mrs. Trevett and Ms. Canarelli's class outside to code and paint with Sphero robots on Tuesday. Students enjoyed being outside and being able to use their creativity!
Today, Miss Serrano and Mrs. Holst's 5th grade class from Bellamy Elementary went outside to draw and spread some positivity!
Students in Mrs. Carpenter's 5th grade class at Stokes got creative with their Volume Zoo Project. All students were engaged in this fun, hands-on learning experience where students built 3D replicas of animals using cardboard boxes. As they constructed their masterpieces, they had to measure and calculate the volume of each rectangular prism and then combine each to find their animal's total volume.

Mrs. Pacicca’s Pet Clinic center is now open! Quentin brings Stick, his pet crested gecko to the clinic for a check up and a friendly visit. First stop, was checking in with the receptionist. Students learn vocabulary, the importance of various roles, and stations, reading, writing and math at the play clinic.
Bellamy elementary School held a Bulldog Pride Ceremony on March 28th. Pictured are the Bulldog Pride recipients. Students were recognized for being safe, responsible and respectful along with an academic award.
Mrs. Pacicca’s kindergarten students at Bellamy Elementary school had the opportunity to color Easter eggs on Tuesday, March 27th. With help from Ms. Malloy, Ms. Marchione and Mrs. Marchione students learned how to create the mixture, dye the eggs and dry them so they can share the process with their families at home.
On March 20th, fourth grade students at Bellamy Elementary School were invited to Hamilton College to explore the Science Center. Students had the opportunity to observe and perform mini science experiments throughout the day.
BIG Shout Out to the Girls Varsity Bowling team as they finished the year 14-0 - TVL Champions and Section 3 Class A (Large School) Champions. They are 85-2 since 2017. Good luck to Sarah Street in the NYS Championships in March. Bellamy Elementary School hosted a Book Bingo event on Tuesday night. Students, families and staff enjoyed an evening together playing bingo and enjoying Valentine’s Day themed treats! Jervis library also attended and had books available to families.

Girls Varsity Volleyball v Camden in the Section 3 Semifinal Game Tomorrow, February 13th at 6:00 PM in the Strough Gym.
This winter season has been amazing so far. State ranked teams w BBB, GVB and Hockey. Girls bowling is 10-0. And now the Boys Bowling team pull off a huge victory over unbeaten New Hartford who is predicted to win sectionals. What a convincing victory for 9-3 Black Knights

Volunteers from Miss Serrano and Mrs. Holst’s 5th grade class at Bellamy Elementary ventured down to kindergarten to assist Mrs. Paccica’s class in an art project using shapes to make pictures. The kiddos were crafty and creative in their designs!
The boys’ basketball game at Proctor High School on Friday, Feb 2, 2024, versus Rome Free Academy, will be pre-sale tickets only. The JV game will start at 5:30 PM, and the varsity game will start at 7:00 PM. A limited number of tickets will be sold. No tickets will be available at the door. Tickets are $2 for general admission. All children and students in grades K-8 must be accompanied by an adult. All tickets are non-refundable. In the event the game is postponed, the tickets will be honored for the rescheduled date.
The Rome City School District Athletic office at Stadium Support will be selling pre-sale tickets for the boys' JV and V basketball game at Proctor. Tickets can be purchased at the Stadium Support Facility from 2-4 pm only, starting on Tuesday and finishing on Thursday at 4 pm.
Bellamy first grade students performed their first musical, The Little Christmas Tree, for their families on Tuesday. Students took on roles such as trees, stars, snowflakes and families looking for the perfect tree. Families also got to join their students in the classroom for some holiday fun!
Smiles for everyone at Bellamy Elementary School, today! Coffee, tea and pizzelles were delivered to staff in the morning. In the afternoon, students enjoyed a school wide sing along with a special performance by Miss Jones!
Clough teachers Mrs. Sgroi and Mrs. Razy gathered famililes to make gingerbread houses! Sticky sweetness and a lot of fun!
