RFA Volleyball Junior Thylia Keoviengsamay, achieves a historic milestone with 1,000 assists!

In her third year on the Rome Free Academy Volleyball team, Thylia Keoviengsamay stands out as a pivotal player. Coined the "quarterback of volleyball" by her coach and father, Pete Keoviengsamay, Thylia brings exceptional intelligence to the court, showcasing remarkable court vision and volleyball IQ.

Her ability to transform challenging situations, such as difficult passes, into opportunities for front and back-row hitters sets her apart.

Coach Pete describes Thylia as a forward-thinking player, always strategizing 3-5 plays ahead and adept at controlling the game's tempo. Beyond her primary position as a setter, she is a versatile player across multiple positions. A true team player, Thylia consistently seeks ways to contribute to her team's success and victory.

Coach Pete proudly shares Thylia's monumental achievement of reaching 1,000 assists in the 2023-2024 season, a goal she has pursued since joining the varsity team as a freshman.
